So I turned 28 on Sunday....yikes! That's almost...30! On Saturday Adam and I went to Knoxville, TN to the University of Tennessee home opener game. I've never been to Neyland Stadium, so I was excited. I was pretty surprised actually because Adam has taken his dad, JJ, and Stephen before. So I had the chance to go this time. I've been to games at Yankees Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Nassau Colliseum, and Turner Field. But this was my first college football game. There were some things that I learned on Saturday: 1) Interstate 40 is actually closed and you have to take a bypass. Which meant parking 2 miles away from the staduim and walking. That would not have been so bad had it not been... 2) 90 degrees outside! It was so HOT!!! Not just hot, but there wasn't even a breeze. Now, THAT would not have been so bad BUT.... 3) Neyland Stadium does not have seats. I did not know this at all. It's all bleacher seating. Bleachers with a number where you're supposed to sit on. THEN.... 4) Bottled water was almost $4.00! But when it's 90 degrees, you're tired from walking, hot and sweaty, and have to sit crammed in a spot with strangers, you kinda have to do it. BUT it was a lot of fun. Tennessee won! (Georgia fans need not to boo.) We then had dinner, and Adam got me some much needed accessories for my iPod. Sadly, the day also had a stressful time. Both Adam and my car were broken into that night. Actually 5 other cars were too. Nothing was stolen, I felt a greatly violated just thinking that some stranger was going through my stuff! The car was searched from top to bottom, and things were tossed al over the place. I knew it was strange when my sweater was on the ground, and Maddy's book on the hood of the car. We did get a call yesterday that the guy was arrested on Monday night. Apparently he had returned and was spotted by one of the neighbors. So now I feel better.
