Disclaimer: This post is strictly MY opinion. If you do not disagree, that is fine but no hate mail please. I respect your opinion, so please respect mine. I don't like getting involved in politics. I believe it can get pretty heated, therefore I keep my opinions to myself. But when I woke up this morning to THIS STORY, my heart just sank. It's extremely heartbreaking to see this. Had Prop 8 not passed, you wouldn't see the Mormons, Catholics, or anyone else behaving like this. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage did not just overturn the will of California voters; it also redefined marriage for the rest of society, without ever asking the people themselves to accept this decision. But now the people have spoken! I am not against anyone who is gay. I have many gay friends. Some of which will never speak to me again due to my stance on this. Proposition 8 is NOT an attack on gay couples and does not take away the rights that same-sex couples already have under California’s domestic partner law. California law already grants domestic partners all the rights that a state can grant to a married couple. Gays have a right to their private lives, but not to change the definition of marriage for everyone else. Passing Proposition 8 protects our children and places into the Constitution the simple definition that a marriage is between a man and a woman. The people have spoken.

2 Interesting Remarks:
It's interesting that you post this because Bill and I had the same discussion about this even before we knew the state of Cali was voting on it. I am in agreeance with you that while people can do what they do, be who they are, don't change the definition of something so sacred to the rest of us. I understand they want to be married, and that's fine, but in all honesty, Marriage is a union between a man and a woman.
Kudos, girlfriend.
It is sad how much the church is being attacked for this. It will probably only get worse.
