none? I must admit, after watching the first episode of NBC's The Baby Borrowers I stopped watching. I didn't think NBC was depicting an accurate picture of new parents or any parents at that. But I decided to watch the finale last night. It was very touching. I liked how the elderly couples counseled them to make sure you take your time to discover who they are. During the final credits they gave a brief update on where the 5 couples are since the taping of the show. All 5 couples have split up. I was really surprised to hear this. Probably because they spoke of their love and commitment to each other during the first episode, now they're all going their seperate ways. So I was very surprised. What I'm not sure about is if I was shocked that they broke up, or shocked because the show worked? Instead of having babies, they are going to school. Next Wednesday is the Town Hall Meeting. It should be interesting.

3 Interesting Remarks:
Yes, taking time to find out exactly who you are is important before kids/family/marriage. I can count on one hand the number of friends I have that decided to get married before deciding what they wanted to do with life other than being married. At least the show openned up their eyes that once a child is born, their lives take a serious back seat.
All I ever wanted was to get married and be a mom. I am not disappointed at all that I do not have a 'career'.
I think that was the point of the show. To discover who you are and what you want to be before getting married. To some people it's getting an education. To others it's becoming parents. To some people it's to travel. To some people it's to take care of their parents.
